On the heels of Lolo Jones’ disappointing performance in the two-woman bobsled in Sochi, she’s been taking her share of flak from fellow bobsledders. This time Chuck Berkeley, who competed at the Vancouver Olympics but failed to make the Olympic cut for Sochi, took a shot at Jones.

Katie Eberling was one of the Olympic hopefuls who failed to make the team despite having spent more time in the sport than Jones, who took it up after she came in 4th in the 100m hurdles at the London Olympics.

Eberling spoke about being passed over for her more famous teammate to USA Today after the teams were announced.

“I feel this year there was a certain agenda,” Eberling said. “It’s no fault of my teammates. There’s been a lot of inconsistencies and that makes you wonder what’s going on. It’s not right. I know [Jones] didn’t pick herself, I know she’s not the one to blame”

While Jones and driver Jazmine Fenlator are in eleventh place after two heats, Jones start times were better than the fourth, fifth, and sixth place sleds, and Fenlator took the blame for multiple errors during their runs.

This is women's bobsledding. Can there be a sport that is any more lame and boring to watch?

Enough already.  If Sochi proved anything it is that using track athletes is a smart approach to the sport.  The driver of USA3 was the one who cost them spots, Lolo did fine.  It doesn't matter how long you've been doing this, an olympic spot is not a lifetime achievement award.  Hating someone because of their looks is just as pointless as putting them on the team for looks.  Casey Anthony would have been a more popular pick for these people.
