The United States was able to bring home yet another gold medal Sunday morning, as Jamie Anderson pulled off an impressive run during the women’s snowboard slopestyle competition in Sochi. But it wasn’t all fun and games, especially for Sarka Pancochova of the Czech Republic.

Multiple riders (male and female) have expressed displeasure with Sochi’s slopestyle course, suggesting it is far too dangerous for competition. It even lead popular U.S. Olympian Shaun White to pull out of the event, something Pancoochova likely wishes she would have done after splitting her helmet in a violent crash this weekend.

The Czech Olympian was unable to complete a rotation during her run, resulting in her board clipping the hillside as she attempted to land. Her momentum thrust her head into the ground, severely cracking her helmet in the process.

Thankfully Pancoochova, who placed fifth, would be okay. She even took time to show off her damaged lid.

Best Helmet Ad EVER. If you told me she was killed in that crash, I would have believed you. If she placed fifth, she was somehow in good enough shape after this crash to finish the course instead of a helicopter ride to the hospital.
