Even though his creation has reached unforeseen levels of popularity, Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen has elected to pull his game off the market. Although the game has drawn criticism for its resemblance to Super Mario Bros., Nguyen said in a tweet that his decision to take the game off the market was not due to legal concerns.

While the game won’t be available to new users, copies that have already been downloaded won’t be affected. So don’t worry, you monsters.

Basically Nintendo got word of this game and they decided to fax the creator a letter of support  :)

I have to admit, I got a chuckle out of watching one of my neighbors kid chuck a $600 cell phone in anger over this game.  Then laughed when his mom said she would go get him a new one to replace it.  Gotta love entitled kids
