UConn’s New Mascot is AN ADORABLE PUPPY, YAY!

On Wednesday, the University of Connecticut introduced its first new mascot since 2008 and it’s an adorable puppy — just look at its wittle puppy eyes!

The pup — a husky, of course — is named Jonathan XIV, not to be confused with Jonathan XIII and certainly not to be mixed up with Jonathan VII.

Oh, you want more Jonathans? By all means:

The newest Jonathan somewhat strays from UConn tradition as all previous Jonathan’s (minus Jonathan I: The Original) have been entirely white. But seriously, who cares, this dog is the best:

My daughter is a sophomore at UConn and says that for the most part the students loathe the new logo.  The kids feel disenfranchised because only the athletes got to vote on it.
