During the much-anticipated PS4 launch last night, a group of gamers waiting in line were treated to a surprise appearance by Dez Bryant, who bought the $400-retail consoles for the man above and 4-5 others who were camped out for the midnight release.

It’s a nice thing to keep in mind the next time a commentator or studio analyst starts talking in absolute terms about Bryant’s maturity.

It just goes shows that no matter how many good things people do in life, people will always have something stupid, insensitive and negative things to say instead. Huge respect and props to DEZ!! (Oh,and by the way,I'm a die hard Giants fan)

Maybe I'm a bit pessimistic, but what do you want to bet that he just really wanted a PS4 and didn't wan't to wait in line so he bought off the 4-5 people that were around him when he cut in line?

Buying PS4's for random people in line has nothing to do with his maturity on the field.  Sounds like a good chance for him to get some positive PR and run with it.

Yeah... i can hear it now.

Announcer 1: "one issue i have with Dez is his immaturity like when he went off on a tirade on the sidelines during the detroit game"

Announcer 2: "Hey man... he bough 4 people a PS4... that shows the kind of maturity that wins championships!"

Yes it was a nice thing to do and he didnt have to do that... but... there are kids that have basic needs not being met. I love how god is SOOOOO good for blessing him with Dez Bryant with a PS4. Im not saying that dez was bad for this. I am just saying that its a sad day when praise to an all mighty power is given because he answered prayers for a PS4 while their are starving people everywhere. And I will have to agree that while generous... it in no way shows maturity or anything. I am sure Dez is cool and a good guy... but cmon!

He showed kindness and generosity. Why would anyone get on his case about that? And I am NOT a fan.

On an equal note I just bought a pack of gum for 5 people standing in line at Walmart.  Go me!

Not quite sure if maturity is the right word here, but Dez has become a kinder person over the past couple of years. Good for Dez.

Why does the guy have a directv shirt on?

I don't know about maturity, but it was a nice thing for him to do regardless - a step in the right direction.

Sure he's a multimillionaire & this is pocket change to him, but he didn't have to do it either.

Well done, Dez!

In what universe does recklessly throwing away $2k to strangers that don't need the money equate to maturity?

How is this a commentary on Bryant's maturity?

@plumdogmilli Some of you chronic complainers will find a reason in just about anything to share your misery with the rest of the world.

@Paul109 Well lets see.....maybe he works for DirecTV or maybe he just wanted to wear that shirt.  How stupid of a question is that.  Why do you have on the shirt you are wearing?

Ask Rickapolis; he's got Dez' back, apparently.
