Documentary Frontline: League of Denial- The NFL’s Concussion Crisis (PBS)
This film certainly seems to be worth watching on its own merits, but there’s an extra layer of intrigue added by ESPN’s back-and-forth behavior during the production process. Originally, ESPN backed out out of a partnership with the film, which some speculated they did under pressure from the NFL. Recently, however, the worldwide leader has been promoting the film hard online and on TV. Curious.

“If you want to take a single franchise that captured everything that was crazy about the ABA, look no further than the Sprits of St. Louis.” That’s ol’ Papa Costas speaking about the fun-and-cocaine-fueled franchise. This film is directed by Daniel H. Forer, who is credited with writing four episodes of Touched by an Angel, so it’ll be inspirational and stuff.
