Students Create Electric Race Car that Goes 0 to 60 in 2.15 Seconds
A group of racing team students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands has created a tiny electric car that goes from 0 to 100 kilometers (that’s 62 miles) in 2.15 seconds, which shatters the previous record set by an electric vehicle.
The vehicle, dubbed the DUT12, weights only 320 pounds and runs on an electric motor with 135 horsepower. The DUT12 is the team’s 12th model, and the team is already close to finishing a 13th.
