Everyone’s A Critic

Robert Kraft, Jim Nantz :: Chris McGrath

Robert Kraft, Jim Nantz :: Chris McGrath

SI.com media writer Richard Deitsch asked me to participate in his latest roundtable about NFL announcers. I had no idea some would join me in referencing the  Jim Nantz-Robert Kraft love affair, but they did. For a full take on play-by-play callers, analysts and pregame shows, check out the column.

Speaking Of NFL “Analysts”

I’m not sure why anyone would take what they hear on a pregame show seriously, but apparently the Chargers were not happy that the NFL Network’s Michael Irvin said the Eagles would score 60 points against San Diego yesterday.

Wrapping Up The Weekend

Guyism.com has compiled the 20 best football GIFs from the weekend.

Lovely Lady Of The Day

One-time LLOD, model Molly Morrison, gets the honors once again with the gallery above.

Take Your Pick

There’s a lot to admire about the Pirates’ season. The team stopped a 20-year streak of not finishing above. 500 and their players clearly don’t care that cameras are always on them.

Last week, we had a GIF oJohnny Manziel as Miley Cyrus. Today, it’s video Tom Brady as Miley. …  Caroline Wozniacki embarrassed boyfriend Rory McIlroy by tweeting this picture of him in deep sleep. … It’s only been two weeks, but Panthers fans have had enough of head coach Ron Rivera.

Beyonce Video Of The Day

Busy weekend for Beyonce. She reportedly performed with husband Jay Z at LeBron James‘ wedding and had a fan try to yank her off the stage during a concert. The singer, though, showed that it takes more than that to fluster her.

Marching Band Video Of The Day

Last week, we posted Ylvis’ The Fox, a bizarre video and song that went viral to the tune of 31 million views. The Ohio Bobcats band got in on the action at Saturday’s game against Marshall.

It would be nice if I could see images in Chrome or Firefox, but only IE displays them these days.  I guess I'll switch back to Yahoo Sports, which works with all web browsers.
