Clay Matthews Enters the “Mom Cave” in New Campbell’s Chunky Soup Ad

In Campbell’s latest commercial, Clay Matthews’ mother unveils her Clay-centric mom cave and promotes the brand’s new pub-inspired line of Chunky Soup. It’s hard to imagine focus groups saying they need more bar food in their lives, but we can nevertheless now look forward to soups with flavors such as Hearty Cheeseburger, Spicy Chicken Quesadilla, and Philly-Style Cheesesteak.

Matthews will be joined in subsequent ads by Green Bay teammates John Kuhn and Casey Hayward—meaning that between this campaign, whatever ZANY Discount Double Check spin State Farm has planned, and anything else that may be on the horizon,  the Packers as a team seem poised to reach a Peyton Manning-level of advertising ubiquity this season.

It's good, the commercial.  Expected more punch-line at the end, though, something...Chunkier.  The soup, I don't know.  When I finds me something I like, I sticks with it: Campbell's® Chicken & Star, Bean & Bacon or Tomato and I'm happy camper.
