Minor League Team’s ‘Salute to Scandal Night’ Mocks Anthony Weiner with $1 Hot Dogs
The Richmond (VA) Squirrels (AA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants) are hosting “Salute to Scandal Night” this Thursday, whereupon they will be making fun of celebrities who have seen their salacious sex lives become public, including Brett Favre, Tiger Woods, and NYC mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner. The AP reports:
The Class AA Richmond Flying Squirrels of the Eastern League intend to sell hot dogs for $1 on Thursday. The team says fans also can enter a contest by tweeting photos during the game showing how they are enjoying their hot dogs.
“Salute to Scandal Night” joins such other notable 2013 minor league promotions as ”Second Amendment Night” (in which the Class AA Huntsville (Alabama) Stars were advised not to raffle off free guns) and the upcoming ”Midget Wrestling Night,” which will be hosted by the Class AA Arkansas Travelers of Little Rock.
It should be a joyous night, as it’s widely known that the only thing tastier than a hot dog at a ballgame is when said hot dog costs just a buck because it’s mocking the lewd sexts of a disgraced politician.
