How Did It Stay On?

The most memorable image from last night’s NBA Draft was the hairdo sported by Lucas Nogueira, who was drafted No. 16 by the Hawks. For a full roundup of Draft fashion, click here, and for a full behind-the-scenes look at the sights and sounds from the Draft, click here.

Bravo, Bill

While Nogueira’s hair was the most memorable image, the most memorable moment on television came late in the evening when new Clippers coach Doc Rivers and ESPN’s Bill Simmons got into a slight kerfuffle. Rivers didn’t like the fact that Simmons said he quit on the Celtics. Rivers backhandedly called Simmons an idiot, and Simmons then dropped a very short, succinct dagger. To address some folks on Twitter who were unhappy with Simmons acting like a fan — HE IS A FAN. He’s also the most popular sports media personality in the country. He got there by being a fan and being real. You should be happy he’s honest about his fandom and biases, unlike most “journalists” who want you to think they’re objective, but are far from it.

(UPDATE: Doc Rivers’ son has taken to Twitter to attack Bill Simmons.)

He Played The Heel Pretty Well

David Stern was booed, booed again and booed some more last night. Here is a two-minute-and-30-second mashup of all the booing fans unleashed at the outgoing commissioner.

It’s been a while since Serbian model Nina Senicar has been in Hot Clicks, so it was nice to see a new photoshoot hit the web today. … Here is the latest work from Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel. … Brazilian supermodel Simone Villas Boas was in Hot Clicks last week, and she’s back today.

No Filter

Raiders punter and recent Hot Clicks Podcast guest Chris Kluwe continued to prove that he’s not exactly a fan of being politically correct. He explained the art of cursing and used an Aaron Hernandez joke during an appearance on Conan O’Brien‘s show last night.

Bill Simmons is a pompous blowhard more concerned with his ego than anything else.  Watching you defend him is nauseating.  Most popular sports media personality in the country?  Where is the source stating that?

"He’s also the most popular sports media personality in the country." - you're kidding, right?

It's fine to be a fan when you're writing opinion pieces...that's his whole shtick, fine, I get it...but when you're a TV personality covering a neutral event, your role changes...it's sports journalism 101...you can't act like some immature kid with a sports legend like Doc Rivers...save that for the blogs
